Alright, so when I stat up wow, it does the typical thing. It says I need to restart wow to begin
downloading the patch, so I press restart. But when i press restart, I get the message:

"Failed to apply patch. Please try again later. If this problem persists you may need to reinstall or contact technical support".

I have vista and I have Mcafee, but I have my firewall turned off, and I am running as administrator. Windows defender is also turned off.

Also, I tried to use the patch mirrors posted on the forums here, and when I try to install them, i get the error :

"Blizzard Updater was unable to start up.
This update does not need to be applied. It requires version 3.3.0.10958 of "WoW.exe", but you already have version 3.3.0.11159."


But obviously I don't already have it, or else I wouldn't be prompted to install it when I start the game.


And one weird thing happened the first time I ran wow was administrator, even though it has not happened again. When I pressed the download button, i got the error message:

"Unable to validate game version. This may be caused by file corruption or the interference of another program. Please visit [http://article.xml?articleld=21031] for more information and possible solutions to this issue." But I went to that url and nothing helpful came up.

I also tried using: Run-misconfig-general-Selective Startup- and unticking Load Startup Items, and restarted my computer.
